Payout Methods — Setup and Troubleshooting

Quick Answer: Shiftsmart uses Stripe. You need a bank account or traditional debit card. CashApp, PayPal, Zelle, and checks are NOT supported. Problems usually stem from incomplete Stripe verification.

Details: Setup: Earnings screen ($ icon) > Payment Accounts > "Add a bank or card." Stripe requires: full legal name matching SSN/ITIN, unexpired government ID (passport, driver's license, state ID, green card, border crossing card).

One account per person. Your bank may only link to one Stripe Account and one Partner ID. If 3+ profiles share a payment method, all are permanently removed per ToS Section 4.1. Never use someone else's account.

To change/remove: must always have one default method. Add new one first, then remove old: Earnings > Funds > Payment Accounts > tap account > Remove.

Common errors: "Not verified" \= complete Stripe verification. "Invalid card" \= check details. "Declined by bank" \= contact your bank. "Funds stuck" \= do NOT withdraw until verification is complete, then support can reset. "Wrong account" \= contact support with shift date, amount, correct details.

When to Submit a Ticket: If you've completed verification, waited 1-2 business days, and still see errors. Include exact error message. Do not ask about unsupported methods.
