When you'll get paid

One of the best perks of working with Shiftsmart is getting paid faster than a typical full-time job. We’re committed to making sure you get your money as soon as possible after your shift. To help us do that, there are just a few things that need to happen.

Shift approval and processing

After you complete your shift, it undergoes a review process for approval. Once approved, we typically process payments within 24 hours of shift completion. However, for roles like audits and inspections, and mystery shopping where quality review and photo validation is required, payments may take up to 7 days per our terms of service.

Withdrawing available funds

Once your shift is approved and the payment has been processed, you'll be able to access your available funds in your app. When a withdrawal happens, there’s a processing time before the money arrives with your payment provider.

Manual withdrawal

  • Instant Pay: Get your money in 30 minutes for a $1.99 fee. Only allowed to use it once a day.
  • Standard: Get your money in 3-5 days. No fee.

Automatic withdrawal

  • Every day: A standard bank transfer is made at the end of each day and will arrive within 2-5 business days after that.
  • Once a week: A standard bank transfer is made on Sundays and will arrive within 2-5 business days after that.

Ensure your payout method and settings are correct

Be sure to set up at least one payout method so you can get paid. If you want your payouts to be released automatically, be sure to set a default payout method. Learn more about adding a payout method.

You can always check the status of your payout in your earnings dashboard. If you work multiple shifts on the same day, your money will usually be sent as a single payout.

Weekend or holiday delays for payouts

Banking systems do not process transactions on weekends or holidays, so your money will be processed on the next business day. If you have any questions, please contact your bank directly. Instant Pay, however, allows payouts to be processed and sent even on weekends and holidays.

Payouts may be delayed for review

All transactions may be reviewed before they’re sent. For example, we may review a transaction in order to prevent fraud. This could result in funds being delayed, paused, or, in rare cases, removed from your account. In these cases, we may be required to limit account permissions and payment transfers, and you may be asked to provide additional information to verify your identity.

Reviews are part of standard processes that Shiftsmart conducts in order to prevent fraud and comply with regulations.
