Ensure Your Identification is Acceptable

- Your full legal name must match the name on the document and your associated SSN/ITIN.
- The identification document must not be expired.
Ensure Your Bank is Accepted
Check the list of supported banks here: bit.ly/SupportedBanks
- Your full legal name, date of birth (DOB), and address must match your bank account and the associated SSN/ITIN.
Acceptable Forms of Identification for U.S. Partners:
- Passport
- Passport card
- Driver's license
- State-issued ID card
- Resident permit ID / U.S. Green Card
- Border crossing card
- Child ID card
- NYC ID card
- U.S. visa card
Information Required by Stripe to Create a Payment Account:
- Full legal name that matches your Stripe profile
- Date of birth (DOB) that matches your Stripe profile
- Photo of the person (unless an exclusion applies)
Common Document Requirements:
- Documents must be no more than one step removed from the original.
- Photos and scans must be in color and of high quality.
- Identity and legal entity documents must not be expired.
- Documents must be fully readable with all borders visible.
- A passport is required for identity verification if your country of residence differs from the country of the account.
Uploading Your Identification Document:
Ensure that your document meets the Common Requirements, and include color photos of both the front and back. If you are unable to upload your document in the Shiftsmart app, navigate to the support hub and send us a message.
Acceptable Documents by Country:
Acceptable identity documents vary by country, but a passport is always acceptable and preferred.
