Check-In Code Bypass

Quick Answer: If the store manager doesn't have the check-in code or codes aren't available, use the bypass: go to the check-in page, enter "00000" and submit, then enter "00000" and submit again. This lets you check in without a code. Codes not being available is NEVER a reason to not complete a shift.

Details: When to use the bypass:

  • Manager says they don't have the code
  • Manager is not present and no one knows the code
  • The code display/system at the store isn't working

Bypass steps:

  1. Go to the check-in page in the Shiftsmart app
  2. Enter "00000" in the code field and submit
  3. Enter "00000" again and submit
  4. You are now checked in and can proceed with your shift

After bypass check-in: Complete your shift normally. The bypass check-in is recorded and valid. If you were turned away after checking in with the bypass, report it through the normal turn-away process.

Important: Do not leave a shift because codes aren't available. Always use the bypass. If you leave without attempting the bypass, it may be treated as a no-show.

When to Submit a Ticket: Only if the bypass code doesn't work (app error when entering "00000"). Try restarting the app first. If it still fails, report in-app within 30 minutes.
